After a childhood surrounded by music and art, Tom studied graphic design at Hounslow Borough College and found the traditional methods of graphic design he was taught could still be applied to stained glass making. Taking inspiration from a tattoo apprenticeship, it occurred to Tom that tattoos and the stained-glass panels had the same basic make up of vivid colours surrounded in strong black lines, a realisation which has since influenced his work. In addition to personal commissions, his work has been displayed in various galleries, including the V&A as part of the disobedient objects exhibition. Tom’s work is currently on display at Lights of Soho and Bank Robber galleries in central London. He is currently working on an exhibition for the Halcyon gallery.
